Here’s where to score freebies, find tasty discounts, and support local donut shops while treating yourself this National Donut Day.

When is National Donut Day 2026?

National Donut Day is Friday, June 5, 2026.

Whether you call them doughnuts or donuts, here’s a list of three national chains giving away donuts:

1. Krispy Kreme free donuts and $2 BOGO deals for National Donut Day

Krispy Kreme will mark National Donut Day by offering customers a free doughnut of their choice, with no purchase required. The promotion includes any donut on the menu, including the Original Glazed, Strawberry Iced with Sprinkles and Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled varieties.

“National Doughnut Day is one of our most joyful traditions – a moment to celebrate the doughnuts people love, the guests who inspire us every day and the simple happiness that comes from sharing something sweet,” said Alison Holder, Chief Brand & Product Officer at Krispy Kreme. “We’re excited to welcome everyone in on Friday to enjoy a free Krispy Kreme favorite and celebrate with us.”

The chain is also offering a dozen Original Glazed donuts for $2 with the purchase of any dozen. The deal is available at participating locations in-store and through the drive-thru.

2. Dunkin’ celebrates National Donut Day with free donuts. How to get yours

Dunkin’ is starting the National Donut Day celebration early with freebies, sweet deals, and a limited-edition giveaway for donut fans.

On Monday, June 1, guests who purchase a half-dozen donuts or more at participating Dunkin’ locations can score a free Dunkin’-branded tote bag while supplies last.

The celebration continues on National Donut Day, when Dunkin’ will once again offer a free donut with any beverage purchase, marking the 16th consecutive year of the fan-favorite tradition.

Dunkin’ is also bringing back its collaboration with customizable lifestyle and accessories brand Stoney Clover Lane, adding even more sweetness to this year’s celebration.

3. Shipley Do-Nuts deals to celebrate National Donut Day

Shipley Do-Nuts will celebrate National Donut Day by offering guests a free signature glazed donut with any purchase. Customers can redeem the offer by visiting the Jacksonville location at 4000 Ulmerton Road or by placing an online or app order using the code DonutMonth26.

However, the celebration will continue throughout June, as participating Shipley locations nationwide will offer one free original glazed donut with any purchase every Friday from June 1 through June 30, 2026, while supplies last. Limit one free donut per guest each Friday.

Shipley Rewards members can also earn an exclusive limited-edition Shipley-branded hat by visiting four times during the month and making a minimum $5 purchase each visit, while supplies last.

Looking for great donuts this National Donut Day? Here are 11 Jacksonville donut shops worth the stop:

1. The Donut Shoppe

1535 University Blvd. N., Jacksonville, (904) 743-1844

When you’ve been making donuts for 60-plus years, you can get pretty good at it. Jacksonville’s Donut Shoppe has been around since 1962 and has been the city’s favorite for pretty much the whole time. It’s a tiny place, about 850 square feet, but can produce hundreds of dozens of donuts every morning. They offer about 20 varieties of yeast-raised and cake donuts and fritters (called “uglies”) and close the doors when the day’s inventory is gone. Oh, and leave the debit card at home; it’s a cash-only place.

2. Lukumades

504 1st St. N., Jacksonville Beach

The shop that shares a building with O-Ku is the first Lukumades outlet in the U.S. They make Greek donuts, which have no hole in the middle. The fried dough balls are served with the traditional honey and cinnamon, with crushed Oreos, white chocolate, melted hazelnut sauce on top or filled with custard or strawberry jam.

3. Mochinut

11757 Beach Blvd., 415 Durbin Pavilion Drive in St. Johns, mochinut.com

Mochinut is a California chain, but new to Florida. They specialize in mochi doughnuts, which trace their roots to Hawaii and are lighter than what most people are used to. They’re made with eight small balls of sweet rice flour dough formed into a ring, then covered in frosting ranging from blueberry to black sesame.

4. Old Soul Donut Company

11230 New Berlin Road, (904) 647-9112

Oceanway’s favorite doughnut shop can be a busy place in the morning, with customers stopping by for apple fritters, cinnamon twists, bear claws and Texas-style kolaches.

5. Cinotti’s Bakery

1523 Penman Road in Jacksonville Beach, (904) 246-1728, cinottisbakery.com

Cinotti’s is more of a full-service bakery than a doughnut shop, but they can still turn out a mean raspberry jelly-filled, Heath double-chocolate or red velvet cake ring. The key lime is a summertime favorite.

6. Doughfee Donuts & Coffee

3928 Baymeadows Road, (904) 962-2241, doughfee.com

You’ll find everything from a plain glazed to a decadent ube cream-filled treat topped with cream cheese, but don’t miss the Kingston Donut Pops, which come on a stick studded with Oreos and Fruity Pebbles.

7. Parlor Doughnuts

There are currently three Parlor Doughnuts in Jacksonville. Located at:

We said we were going to steer clear of the national chains, and Parlor definitely qualifies as a national chain with more than 50 locations open and dozens more in the works, but they’re new to the Jacksonville market, opening their first location in 2022. They make layered doughnuts, which are crisp on the outside but fluffy inside. Try the French toast, churro or strawberry shortcake varieties.

8. Daily Donuts

1513 Park Ave. in Orange Park, (904) 579-4248

“Homecrafted happiness” is the motto at Daily Donuts, which sits in front of Moosehaven in Orange Park. Most mornings, there’s a line as people wait for their apple fritter, cinnamon twist or classic glazed.

9. Duck Donuts

13820 Old St. Augustine Road, (904) 438-5665, duckdonuts.com/jacksonville

Doughnuts are made to order at Duck, and each one takes 5-7 minutes to make. You can order from a dozen or so “fan favorites” or go wild and create your own lemon/chopped bacon/marshmallow masterpiece.

10. Bunny’s Donut Shop

6426 Bowden Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32216

Bunnys Donut Shop is a casual, family-owned bakery celebrated for its light, fluffy doughnuts offered in both classic favorites and inventive flavor combinations. Known for its clean, welcoming atmosphere, the shop has become a go-to spot for traditional treats with a creative twist.

11. Sweet Theory Baking Co.

1243 King St, Jacksonville, FL 32204

Sweet Theory Baking Co. is a retro-style bakery known for its organic donuts, custom cakes, cookies, gluten-free treats, and classic egg creams. Their yeast-raised doughnuts are scratch-made, hand-cut, and prepared fresh every morning. According to the bakery’s website, the rotating daily flavors are crafted using the highest-quality ingredients available, with organic sourcing whenever possible — including fruit glazes that are always made with organic ingredients.
