The Wisconsin Badgers secondary continues to grow stronger after the commitment of Royalton Allen.
Allen, a 6-foot cornerback out of California, announced his commitment to the Badgers on Tuesday, June 2.
According to 247Sports, the Oak Hills High Schooler is listed as the No. 56 athlete in the class of 2027. Overall, he’s also the No. 56 player in the state of California. While he played a bit of wide receiver in high school, he’ll be on the defensive side of the ball in Madison.
Allen chose the Badgers over the likes of California, Auburn, and BYU.
This marks the third commitment for the Badgers in the past few days. Now, Luke Fickell’s squad is off to a hot start in the month of June, with all eyes on four-star defensive back Mekhi Williams commitment later in the day.
Allen becomes the Badgers’ 16th commit in the class of 2027, a class that continues to rise in the rankings. Of their 16 incoming recruits, the 175-pound defensive back is the team’s eighth defensive commitment.
