Sean McVay weighs in on possibility of Aaron Donald returning to Rams

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Rams welcomed Myles Garrett into their Woodland Hills facility for the first time after acquiring him Monday. During Garrett’s opening presser, Rams head coach Sean McVay spoke about the move, stating that the team reached out to future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald before executing the trade.

According to The Athletic’s Nate Atkins, McVay and Donald spoke about the move, but Donald was noncommittal regarding a potential return. The Rams are leaving the door open for that possibility, but it remains a hypothetical thought.

“If Aaron decides he wants to dust them off at the age of 35, I bet you he could still do it at a pretty high clip,” McVay said.

Rumors have been swirling since the Garrett trade was finalized that Donald could come back this season, with Donald stoking those flames himself. However, Donald has yet to make a public statement regarding a potential return.
