What’s better than great music surrounded by luscious flowers and greenery? It is time for the weekly Music in the Gardens concert series again, according to Amarillo Botanical Gardens, sponsored by Rick Looby Homes.
Every Thursday during the summer, the gardens will welcome local artists such as Geezers Gone Wild, Old Dog Trey and Insufficient Funds at the scenic, beautiful Amarillo Botanical Gardens.
This family-friendly event kicks off on June 4 and will run through the end of August.
Gates will open at 6 p.m., and the music starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 per person, and only $5 if you are a member, and children 10 and younger get in free.
The season will kick off with Insufficient Funds and will be moved indoors in case of rainy weather. The featured food truck for the evening is Cocina On The Go.
The Botanical Gardens asks people to bring their family, friends, and lawn chairs to spend a Thursday evening in the garden unwinding with music, blooms and wonderful views of a starry night.
Schedule of events
Outside of food and beverages, coolers, lawn chairs and dogs are allowed.
The Gardens have a different food truck on site every week.
“It’s a great event to take your family or friends to, every Thursday evening this summer for some of the best music and surroundings in the area,” Executive Director and horticulturist Greg Lusk said.
