Texans find new OL depth with addition of Tulane's Derrick Graham

A newcomer is joining the Houston Texans’ offensive line ahead of Tuesday’s practice.

According to KRPC2 Sports’ Aaron Wilson, the Texans are signing former Tulane offensive lineman Derrick Graham following a promising workout on Monday. A left tackle by trade, Graham played under Texans offensive line coach Cole Popovich at Troy University before transferring to Texas A&M. He would finish his college career at Tulane last season under Jon Sumrall.

Graham, the son of longtime NFL defensive lineman Derrick Graham Sr., earned the starting job at right tackle at Troy as a true freshman. He allowed just two sacks in 432 pass blocking sets, per Pro Football Focus. He later started all of last season for the Green Wave en route to a College Football Playoff appearance.

The newcomer should take over the roster spot for Sidy Sow, who was waived on Monday following the first week of OTAs.
