See how Northern Section athletes performed at state track championships

Hundreds of high school athletes across California flocked to Buchanan High School from May 29-30 to compete in the 2026 CIF track and field state championships.

Among the competitors were a handful of Northern Section champions competing in various events. Only a couple NSCIF athletes were able to make it past Friday’s qualifying round, including West Valley’s Kelsey Morton and Shasta’s Naia Kristoffersen.
