The Los Angeles Rams struck a massive deal with the Cleveland Browns to acquire Myles Garrett, a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and five-time first-team All-Pro. The terms were initially reported as being Garrett for Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick and more, but the finer details took some time to be finalized.

Browns trade:
That’s a significant haul for the Browns, but the Rams are happy to acquire the best defensive player in football – especially considering he’s signed through 2030. As talented as Verse is, he’s not in the same class as Garrett. At least not yet.
The Rams will now be without their first- and third-round picks next year, as well as their second in 2028 and third in 2029. They traded away a 2027 third-round pick in the deal for Trent McDuffie, in addition to three picks this year.
