To say that Florida State was busy this weekend hosting recruits is an understatement. One of the key visitors was 2027 three-star wide receiver Antwan Lockett out of Moultrie, Georgia.
He came to Tallahassee for a Junior Day event on Jan. 31, and he received an offer a few days later. This was his second trip to see FSU since the offer, and the Seminoles ended up making a huge impression on the 6-foot, 170-pounder.
“The visit was good,” Lockett told Noles247. “I got very comfortable.”
Lockett is the No. 851 prospect in the country and the No. 105 wide receiver according to the 247Sports composite rankings. They have also listed him as the No. 103 recruit in the state of Georgia.
During his visit, Lockett got to spend time with offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr., as well as current members of Florida State’s roster. It gave the Colquitt County High School star a special feeling.
“It feels like home,” Lockett said.
With official visits locked in with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on June 5 and the Louisville Cardinals on June 12, it was key for FSU to nail its official visit with Lockett. He plans to make his decision before the 2026 season.
The Seminoles don’t have any receivers committed in the 2027 cycle yet. So, Lockett is undoubtedly a key target for them as they look to improve a recruiting class that just lost four-star safety Mekhi Williams on Sunday morning.
