The Saugatuck girls soccer team won its second consecutive playoff game in a shootout, beating Black River 2-1 to win the Division 4 district championship on Saturday, May 30.
The Trailblazers will face St. Joseph Western Michigan Lutheran at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at Fennville High School in the regional semifinals.
The other semifinal kicks off at 5 p.m. between Kalamazoo Christian and Western Michigan Christian.
Meanwhile, in baseball, Saugatuck also beat Black River for a district title.
The Trailblazers won 16-1 in three innings.
Saugatuck defeated Bloomingdale 11-0 in the semifinals, while Black River topped Fennville 7-5.
Saugatuck will face Kalamazoo Christian in the Division 3 regional semifinals at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at Kalamazoo Christian.

Panthers, Dux fall in semifinals
The West Ottawa baseball team was edged 5-4 by Jenison in the Division 1 district semifinals on Saturday, May 30.
Meanwhile, Zeeland West lost 9-4 to Hudsonville in the other semifinal.
Hudsonville topped Jenison 6-4 in eight innings to clinch the district title.
Holland reaches final
The Holland baseball team defeated Holland Christian 1-0 in the semifinals on Saturday, May 30.
The Dutch faced Unity Christian in the finals and lost 11-1.
Unity topped Hamilton 5-2 in the other district semifinal in eight innings.
SOFTBALL DISTRICTS
Hamilton throws perfect game in semis, falls in finals
Hamilton pitcher Bella Goetsch threw a perfect game to beat Holland in the Division 2 district semifinals on Saturday, May 30.
Goetch struck out 12 with no hits or walks allowed in five innings as the Hawkeyes won 10-0 to advance to the finals.
Maleena Luckadoo and Braelyn DeHorn each had two hits to spark the offense. Luckadoo drove in three and DeHorn had two RBIs.
In the finals, Hamilton lost 7-3 to Unity Christian.
Kelsey Mersman took the loss in the circle, allowing five runs on seven hits. She struck out three and walked one.
Luckadoo slapped two more hits in her final game.
Dux edged by Hudsonville
The Zeeland West softball team lost 6-4 to state power Hudsonville in the Division 1 district semifinals on Saturday, May 30.
Hudsonville won the district title with a 9-4 win over Grandville in the finals.
Fennville reaches district final
The Fennville softball team beat Delton Kellogg 1-0 by forfeit in the Division 3 district semifinals on Saturday, May 30.
The Blackhawks advanced to the finals and lost 11-1 to Covenant Christian.
