The Northern Section baseball season is officially over, and the all-league teams have been released.
Among the all-league selections are Eastern Athletic League co-MVPs Blake Schwerdt of Foothill and Scott McKeown of Pleasant Valley. McKeown’s Vikings lead all EAL teams with six selections and one honorable mention.
West Valley middle infielder and pitcher Gunner Church took home Northern Athletic League MVP honors after leading the Eagles to a league title and section championship. Church is joined by four West Valley teammates and three Eagle honorable mentions. U-Prep added four all-league selections, including Most Outstanding Pitcher Jack Ampi.
Los Molinos’ Parker Heitman (Five Star League), Gridley’s Tanner Abbott (Westside League), Durham’s Landon Lynch (Sacramento Valley League), Etna’s Clayton Harris (Shasta Cascade League), Maxwell’s Colt Montgomery (Mid Valley League) and Loyalton’s Thor Corcoran (Evergreen League) also each earned MVP honors in their respective leagues.
