Mid-Hudson Valley weekend will be sunny, but gusty winds expected

The National Weather Service says the mid-Hudson Valley can expect a sunny weekend, but with some gusty winds early on.

The weekend opens on May 30 with mostly sunny skies in all four counties, and high temperatures in the mid-60s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and the low 60s in Sullivan County.

However, there will be north winds ranging from 11 to 16 mph in all four counties, with gusts of 28 mph in Sullivan County, and in excess of 30 mph in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties.

The night of May 30 will be mostly clear, with lows in the mid-40s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and the low 40s in Sullivan County.

Mid-Hudson Valley weather on May 31

May 31 wraps up the weekend and the month, with sunny skies and high temperatures in the mid-70s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and the upper 60s in Sullivan County.

The night of May 31 will be partly cloudy in Orange and Sullivan counties and mostly cloudy in Dutchess and Ulster counties. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid-50s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and the upper 40s in Sullivan County.
