Nico Collins is a happy and paid man with the Houston Texans.
According to reports, Collins and the Texans restructured his contract, thus giving him a higher payday for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. Before the increase, Collins was owed $20 million for the 2026 season and $21.8 million for 2027.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Collins will receive an extra $9 million in the 2026 season and $8 million more in 2027. Given his current salary, the new deal would get the two-time Pro Bowler a new incentive of $29 million for 2026 and $29.8 million for 2027.
So, where does Collins rank among pass-catchers in terms of annual salary entering 2026?
Before the deal, Collins’ $20 million ranked 18th among active receivers entering training camp. Now, his $29 million for 2026 at 10th overall, just behind San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl Brandon Aiyuk and ahead of Washington Commanders Terry McLaurin.

A three-time 1,000-yard playmaker, Collins has been one of the league’s most consistent weapons since the arrival of Pro Bowl quarterback C.J. Stroud. With the two running the offense, Houston has won 32 regular-season games, including a record-tying 12 games last fall. The Texans begin OTA practice on Wednesday.
