New York Giants worked out DT Eddie Goldman

The New York Giants are showing interest in veteran defensive tackle Eddie Goldman, who worked out for the team on Tuesday.

Goldman, 32, recorded 26 total tackles and four tackles for loss last season with the Washington Commanders. He started six of the 13 games he played for the team in 2025.

The Florida State product was selected by the Chicago Bears with the No. 39 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft. Goldman spent six seasons with the franchise before signing with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022. He retired from the NFL before the start of that season.

Goldman returned to the Falcons in 2023 but sat out the entire season. He then started 10 of 17 games for Atlanta in 2024.

The Giants lost starting defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris to a torn Achilles tendon suffered during OTAs this spring, an injury expected to sideline him for the entire 2026 NFL season.

Goldman is a candidate to compete for that role in 2026 if the Giants ultimately sign him.
