The start of the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament is nearly here, with the regional round starting across the country on Friday. The FSU Seminoles are the No. 10 overall seed in the tournament and are hosting the Tallahassee Regional for the third straight season.
They are looking to make it back to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, after coming up just short last season. First, they will have to win their regional over the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, Northern Illinois Huskies, and St. John’s Red Storm. While FSU has a winning record against all three programs, they have been placed on upset watch.
The winner of the Tallahassee Regional will advance to the Super Regional round, where they will play the winner of the Tuscaloosa Regional, which is hosted by the Alabama Crimson Tide and includes the Oklahoma State Cowboys, USC Upstate Spartans, and Alabama State Hornets. The two winners will play a best-of-three series with the winner advancing to the CWS and a shot at the national championship.
FSU is still looking to win its first national championship in program history. They last made it to Omaha in 2023 before falling in the supers last season. The Seminoles will start their postseason run on Friday when they host St. John’s.
