On May 2, some of Palm Beach’s most adorable four-legged rescue dogs traded their kennels for the runway at “Cocktails & Canines,” a glamorous evening where haute couture met happy tails.
Furry Friends and Palm Beach Cocktail Collective joined forces with Amrit Ocean Resort and Residences in Riviera Beach to pull off one part fashion show and one part fundraiser. Adoptable pups sashayed down the runway alongside models dressed in signature Palm Beach style, proving that the best accessory is a rescue dog.
Guests sipped their way through the evening with specialty cocktails crafted for the occasion. Think the Barkatini and the Rescue-Rita.
The invite-only affair brought together area residents for an evening where fashion met compassion, and every sip and strut served a bigger purpose. Proceeds go directly toward adoption fees, pet beds, food, and continuing care for the animals at Furry Friends, a Jupiter nonprofit dedicated to rescue animals.
The evening also marked the official kickoff of Amrit’s brand-new Paws for a Purpose initiative, where a portion of pet-friendly resort stays will benefit local animal rescue and adoption efforts year-round.
