Starting next weekend, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and his staff will begin hosting 2027 prospects for their official visits, including all 14 of the program’s commits, while the news that five-star safety Kamarui Dorsey has shut down his recruitment and will sign with the Aggies in early December after his OV on June 12.
After landing four linebackers in the 2026 signing class, Elko and new LB coach Travis Williams are fully aware of how important depth at the position has become after senior linebacker Daymion Sanford suffered a lower-body injury that will keep him sidelined for the first half of the 2026 season.
In the 2027 cycle, the Aggies have already received a prediction to land five-star LB Kaden Henderson, especially after landing fellow Florida-based five-star OT Mark Matthews, but while the Miami Hurricanes continue to pursue Henderson, Elko and Williams continue to keep their options open, which includes four-star and Don Bosco Prep star LB Mikhai Allen.
On Saturday, Allen, via X, revealed that he will take his official visit to College Station next weekend, providing the staff another chance to connect with the standout defender and discuss how they plan to utilize his skill set if he commits to the Aggies.
Like most top-ranked linebackers, Allen’s pass-rush potential is notable; he finished his 2025 junior season with 58 tackles, 7 sacks, and 10 tackles for loss, along with 2 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. According to 247Sports, Allen is currently positioned as the 17th-ranked linebacker and the fourth-ranked prospect in New Jersey.
