A female victim was shot Tuesday during a carjacking at an Old Navy store in Orion Township, authorities said.
Deputies responded to the store in the Baldwin Common Plaza, just off Baldwin Road and Interstate 75, around 5:43 p.m., the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
The victim’s injury is not believed to be life-threatening, authorities said.
Multiple suspects fled the area after the shooting. Law enforcement later apprehended one suspect while investigators continued efforts to locate additional individuals believed to have been involved.
Sheriff Michael Bouchard said he planned to provide further details about the incident Tuesday night.
