The Texas Tech softball team finished off another win in the Lubbock Regional and will head to the Super Regionals of the NCAA softball tournament for the second year in a row.
The Red Raiders improved to 55-6 on the season with a 14-2 win over Ole Miss in the Regional final. An eight-run third inning helped break the game open while Jackie Lis drove in five runs for Texas Tech.
Texas Tech will now head to Gainesville to take on No. 6 overall seed Florida in the Super Regionals. The Gators swept their way through the Gainesville Regional, finishing things off with a 5-2 win over Georgia Tech in the final.
The Gators and Red Raiders will open play Friday at 10 a.m. Central on ESPN2 with Game 2 set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday on ABC. The third game, if needed, will be played Sunday with the time to be announced.
