District officials kept families updated, and just after noon, announced that power had been restored at Quail Valley Middle School and Baldy Mesa Elementary.

They also added that Heritage School and transportation services continue to remain without power as Southern California Edison crews work toward full restoration.

“We remain in communication with Edison and will continue to provide updates as additional information becomes available,” district officials stated. “All schools remain safe and operational, and our staff continues doing an outstanding job supporting students throughout the day.”

Transportation services and afternoon bus routes will continue operating as scheduled, district officials added.

Transportation services will continue operating as normal, and all afternoon bus routes and dismissal times will remain on their regular schedules.

Thank you again for your continued partnership and support of Snowline schools. We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful rest of the day.

Power fully restored

Later in the afternoon, district officials said they were happy to share that power had been fully restored to all affected Snowline sites, including Heritage and its transportation services.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, and understanding throughout today’s outage,” the district said. “Our staff, students, and families worked together to make the best of an unexpected situation, and we are incredibly grateful for the support shown across our school community.”

Earlier in the day, district officials gave families the option to pick up students from school campuses affected by the outage.

“Please know there is no expectation to pick up students early, as schools will remain open and continue operating throughout the day,” according to a district statement. “Transportation services will continue as normal, including regular afternoon bus routes and dismissal times.”

Despite the inconvenience, students and staff made the best of the situation. Lunches have been served, classrooms are adapting wonderfully and many are enjoying the beautiful weather and sunshine, the district said.
