The Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida raised $280,000 this spring.
Its second CAC Reimagined event was March 26 in Fort Myers.
Thanks to the leadership of Jake Spanberger, event chair, and the generosity of the community, the event raised $280,000 to support children and families impacted by abuse and neglect, doubling last year’s total, Kaileigh Lawrence, chief development officer at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida, said in a news release.
Lawrence said the milestone reflects the growing commitment across Southwest Florida to ensuring every child has access to safety, healing, and hope.
The Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida, based in Fort Myers, was founded in 1981 and serves abused and neglected children across Lee, Hendry, Glades and Charlotte counties.
The Collier County Children’s Advocacy Center, in Naples, serves those in the county.
According to its website, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida has provided 755 medical exams as well as 2,375 hours of therapy, and served 7,558 people across Southwest Florida.
