It is time to vote for the PuroClean of Melbourne Boys Athlete of the Week at floridatoday.com.
The following athletes were nominated for their performances from May 4-10.
You will find the ballot at the bottom of the page. Be sure to refresh if the poll isn’t visible upon first loading.
Voting will be open until noon on Thursday, May 14. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour.
This will be the final vote of the 2025-26 school year.
The last winner was Jesse Decter of Merritt Island baseball. Find a list of the 2025-26 winners at the bottom.
Coaches and athletic directors are invited to nominate athletes each week. E-mail the athlete’s accomplishments for the previous Monday through Saturday to Prepscores@floridatoday.com by 10 a.m. each Sunday.
Here are this week’s nominees:
Evan Spreitzer, Holy Trinity track
Spreitzer won the state title in the 1600 (4:14.51) at the Class 1A track and field finals in Jacksonville on May 6. He also took second in the 3200 (9:26.77) and was part of the 4×800 relay team that took 3rd overall.
Camryn McRoy, Holy Trinity track
Roy took second in both the 110 and 400 hurdles at the Class 1A track and field finals in Jacksonville on May 6. He also was part of the 4×100 relay team that took 6th overall.
Malik Evans, Cocoa track
Evans took 12th place in the 100 and 4th place in the 200 at the Class 2A state track meet on May 7 in Jacksonville. He was also part of the 4×100 relay team that took 8th.
Jonas Dowdell, Edgewood track
Dowdell won the state title in the 3200 (9:31.07) at the Class 2A state track meet in Jacksonville on May 7.
Landon Plechaty, West Shore track
Plechaty took second place in the javelin at the Class 2A state track meet in Jacksonville on May 7.
Christopher Gordon, Rockledge track
Gordon won a state title in the 400m, took second in the 200m and third in the 100m at the Class 3A state track and field meet in Jacksonville on May 8.
Michal Paul, Viera track
Paul earned a bronze in the long jump and sixth place in the 400-meter dash at the Class 4A state meet on May 9 in Jacksonville.
