‘Saturday Night Live’ will return to our screens this weekend with the second-to-last episode of Season 51.
The New York City sketch comedy show, which started its 51st season on Oct. 4 with Bad Bunny and musical guest Doja Cat, will be off for the summer after its final episode on May 16.
Last week, Olivia Rodrigo made her dreams come true by making her ‘SNL’ hosting debut. The 23-year-old singer was also the musical guest for the night, where she debuted a new song from her upcoming third studio album, “You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love.”

Yes, ‘SNL’ will return Saturday, May 9, with a brand new episode. This will be the second-to-last episode of Season 51, with the finale set to air on May 16.
Matt Damon will make his third appearance as host this weekend with musical guest Noah Kahan. The episode comes ahead of Damon’s leading role in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” that will hit theaters in July.
Kahan will be making his second appearance on the show as a musical guest. His new album, “The Great Divide,” was released on April 24.
Who will host the finale of Season 51 of ‘SNL’?
On May 16, the legendary former ‘SNL’ star, Will Ferrell, will return to his old stomping grounds to host the Season 51 finale with musical guest Paul McCartney. Though this will be Ferrell’s sixth time hosting the show, the finale episode will be his first time back as host since 2019.
Paul McCartney will perform on the finale, marking the legendary Beatle’s fifth “SNL” musical guest stint. His new album, “The Boys of Dungeon Lane,” drops on May 29.
