Former Wisconsin Badgers standout Mimi Colyer earned an incredible honor from Major League Volleyball.
As a rookie with the Dallas Pulse, Colyer has been named the 2026 MLV Outside Hitter of the Year.
Colyer, who was the 2025 AVCA Outside Hitter of the Year, picked up right where she left off after her time in Madison came to an end.
Overall, the California native led the MLV in points (523), points per set (5.08), kills (466), and kills per set (4.52).
If that wasn’t impressive enough, she set new single-season league records in each category.
In addition to being named Outside Hitter of the Year, the rookie earned unanimous All-League First Team honors.
Major League Volleyball is still a relatively new concept, but it’s worth noting Colyer was the first player in Pulse history to receive these awards.
Badgers fans still have a chance to see Colyer in action as the Pulse face No. 3 San Diego Mojo in a semifinal matchup on Thursday, May 7. That game will begin after the No. 1 Indy Ignite takes on No. 4 Omaha Supernovas at 7:00 p.m. ET.
