Are Hudson Valley grocery prices going up? Vote in our poll

Is there a grocery item’s price that you have seen increase in the Lower Hudson Valley? If so, which item stands out?

That’s this week’s Journal News/lohud.com grocery store poll question.

Think about the goods you buy and whether or not any are nibbling at the wallet more than before: Fish, meat, fruits and vegetables, milk, eggs, coffee? And at grocery stores that offer it, prepared meals?

WalletHub reported in March that from January 2025 to January 2026, the average monthly groceries cost for two people increased by 0.72%, from $556.20 to to $560.20, and by 2.45% since January 2023, when the cost was $546.80, the USA TODAY Network’s New York Connect team reported.

Which grocery items have gone up in price? Vote now

Vote in this week’s poll below. Simply choose an option from the list (you can select more than one.) If you’ve noticed higher prices on a product that is not listed, you can choose “other” instead and write in your answer.

And if one of the listed items seems like a broad category, you can write in something more specific.

This poll will close at midnight, Friday, May 8.
