Oshkosh woman pleads to crashing car into Grand Chute house in 2024

An Oshkosh woman pleaded no contest April 30 to two out of eight charges she faced after crashing into a house on West Capitol Drive in December 2024.

Andi Anthony, 32, pleaded no contest to second-degree reckless injury and injury by the use of a vehicle with a controlled substance in her system, court records show. Additional charges of injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle, driving a vehicle without consent, operating while suspended, criminal damage to property and bail jumping were dismissed through a plea agreement.

On Dec. 9, 2024, Anthony crashed into a house in the 3100 block of West Capitol Drive after fleeing from an attempted traffic stop, according to a criminal complaint. A little over an hour after the crash, officers located Anthony and a male passenger hiding in a shed in the neighborhood, the complaint said.

The male passenger suffered multiple broken bones from the crash, the complaint said, and Anthony was also injured. In and around the car, police also found 25 to 30 hypodermic needles, naloxone containers, a handbag containing baggies of pills and “at least one bag containing a powdery white substance,” the complaint said.

Anthony returns to Outagamie County court July 1 to be sentenced for the crash.

At the time of the crash, Anthony had a warrant out for her arrest from Waushara County. She had been charged in September 2024 with first-degree reckless homicide by delivering drugs. After the crash, two felony bail jumping charges were added to that case.

According to a criminal complaint, Anthony supplied the drugs a 34-year-old man fatally overdosed on at a hotel in Dakota – a town in Waushara County – in March 2024.

Anthony pleaded no contest Oct. 7 to both bail jumping counts and a reduced charge of second-degree reckless homicide. She was sentenced Dec. 22 to 10 years in prison followed by eight years on extended supervision.
