A brush fire broke out near homes in Phelan on Friday before firefighters got it under control.
The Trinity Fire was first reported at 11:52 a.m. May 1 at Trinity Road and Acanthus Street, according to San Bernardino County Fire Department logs.
It grew to more roughly 19 acres in size in under an hour, according to Cal Fire, which assisted SBCFD in the firefighting effort.
But water-dropping aircraft were helping firefighters make progress in bringing the blaze under control, Cal Fire officials added.
Officials declared the forward progress of the fire stopped about 1:10 p.m.
The flames were burning through light-to-moderate fuels, spreading at a moderate rate, fire officials reported. At least five structured were considered threatened.
No further details were immediately available.
