Milwaukee’s Clybourn Street Bridge will be closed for most of the summer as the Department of Public Works replaces a bridge cable necessary for bridge movement.
The department announced the closure will begin Monday, May 4 and last for about 10 to 12 weeks. West Clybourn Street will be closed to traffic between North Plankinton Avenue and North Water Street during the closure, but the north-south intersections at both ends will stay open.
Access to the riverwalk will also be maintained except for the bridge crossing itself.
