Fortnite servers are fully operational again after a scheduled update on April 30 shut the game down for several hours.
The April 30 update includes new additions to the game from the “Star Wars” and LEGO universes.
“For years, Epic, Disney and Lucasfilm have created ‘Star Wars’ experiences in Fortnite, from limited-time events to entire Battle Royale seasons. Now developers are building ‘Star Wars’ games in Fortnite using the official ‘Star Wars’ toolkit,” an April 30 Epic Games news release said.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s new on Fortnite today and when the “Star Wars” additions to the game go live.

“For the first time ever, Fortnite developers can create ‘Star Wars’-inspired islands in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and Fortnite Creative using curated assets and tools from our largest IP toolset to date,” Epic Games says.
“It includes all-new Star Wars templates, tools, and gameplay features, along with characters, locations, vehicles, and weapons from past Fortnite Battle Royale Seasons. Mix, match, and build your own Star Wars experiences for players to explore!”

The update also includes new LEGO NINJAGO assets, including a spinjitsu attack and new weapons.
“Players can now tap into their inner balance and release the ultimate attack, Spinjitsu! This item is usable as long as it is in the player inventory,” Epic Games says. “It is mapped to the dodge button (Ctrl by default), and will run as long as the player has stamina available.”
