Now that the NFL draft has concluded, all eyes are on the NBA draft in June.
Wisconsin’s football program didn’t have a single player drafted this year and that’s something they’re looking to change with Nick Boyd being a top 100 prospect.
Boyd currently ranks No. 92 in Jeremy Woo’s 2026 NBA draft big board. It’s great to see him crack the top 100, especially knowing how condensed the NBA draft is compared to the NFL.
Keep in mind, Woo’s big board still includes Badgers’ star John Blackwell, who just transferred to Duke. Woo is going off the players that were early entrants in the 2026 draft, but that doesn’t mean they’re all in the mix come June 23. Remember, athletes must make their decision by May 27, so plenty will change in the next month.
Regardless, Boyd is the only Wisconsin player on Woo’s board. Knowing Blackwell will compete in his senior season with the Blue Devils, this comes as no surprise. Boyd made quite a name for himself this year, but it’s extremely interesting seeing him sit at No. 92 when the projected No. 1 draft pick is AJ Dybansta, who is roughly six years younger than him.
In fact, the top six-ranked players are all under 20 years old. Boyd, 25, certainly has his work cut out for him as the oldest in the top 100, but he’s looking to prove age is just a number.
