The Sun Spotlight: Gainesville-area's top performers for April 27-May 3

During the 2025-26 high school sports season, the Gainesville Sun will be releasing a list of the top performers from each night. Every morning, we’ll be checking box scores to see who shined from the evening prior.

However, we can’t be everywhere all at once. Therefore, we need your help. Please send any submission to be included in top performers to Gainesville Sun Preps Reporter Noah Ram at Nram@usatodayco.com. We’re asking for any accomplishment, from the gridiron, to the hardwood, to the diamond.

This is especially true for sports such as track and field and tennis, where stats are not as easily accessible. However, we take submissions from all sports.

This list will be published every Wednesday morning and honor the best athletes from Monday-Sunday; in this case, April 27-May 3.
