The CIF Sac-Joaquin Section boys volleyball playoffs have arrived.
Fourteen San Joaquin County teams entered the postseason with championship hopes. After the play-in round, only 12 were left standing.
Play-in games began April 28, with Round I on April 29. Quarterfinals follow May 1, semifinals are May 6 and championship matches will be played May 9 at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento.
Before the first ball is served, here’s where each team finished in league play.
San Joaquin Athletic Association: Edison (first), Bear Creek (first), McNair (third), Weston Ranch (fourth).
Tri-City Atlantic League: Lodi (first), Tracy (first), St. Mary’s (third).
Valley Oak League: Mountain House (first), Manteca (second), Sierra (third).
Trans Valley League: Ripon Christian (first), Ripon (third).
Western Athletic Conference League: Lathrop (third).
Central California Athletic Alliance League: River Island (first).
The matchups are finalized. Now the focus shifts to the results.
