Volusia County rejects proposed Creek Crossing development

Volusia County’s Development Review Committee unanimously rejected the Overall Development Plan for Creek Crossing, a proposed 111-home development between Tomoka Farms Road and Interstate 95.

The decision came after lengthy public comment against the project, including concerns about wetland and tree impacts, flooding and more.

The developer, Luxer Development, can revise plans and reapply. It’s not clear yet if that will happen, said Mark Watts, attorney representing the developer.
