A passerby called 911 about 4:27 p.m. Monday, April 27, to report a shed on fire at N3039 Triple S Road in the town of Osceola, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found heavy smoke coming from the roof of the 24-foot-by-40-foot shed and alerted occupants at a nearby home, the sheriff’s office said.

Unattended wood stove identified as cause; shed and tools damaged

Firefighters contained and extinguished the blaze before it spread to nearby buildings, authorities said.

The shed and multiple tools and pieces of equipment inside were significantly damaged, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators said an unattended wood stove inside the shed caused the fire. Authorities said the incident is not considered suspicious.

The Campbellsport Fire Department responded, with assistance from the Eden and Kewaskum fire departments.
