Silver alert cancelled after missing 92-year-old found safe, Wausau police say

The 92-year-old man who was the subject of a statewide silver alert has been found safe, the Wausau Police Department said Tuesday, April 28.

The man had been missing since late Monday, April 27 after driving away from Aspirus Wausau Hospital, 333 Pine Ridge Blvd. Police announced he had been found safe around 7:22 a.m. Tuesday.

Silver alerts are issued for elderly persons who are missing and are considered vulnerable.
