An 18-year-old Stockton resident shot and killed this month has been identified by the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Andrew Manuel Saldivar was identified as the man fatally shot on April 17 in the area of Pixie Drive and Doray Court.
Police said officers responded at 10:14 p.m. to the area on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived in the area, they found Saldivar suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries, police said.
Saldivar’s death marked the eighth homicide of the year in Stockton.
