Pick the LSJ girls high school athlete of week: April 20-25

Here is a look at the latest individuals in the running to be voted the Lansing State Journal’s high school girls athlete of the week.

Voting is open until noon Wednesday, April 29 to determine a winner, who will be featured in the LSJ.

Amelia Bernard, Grand Ledge softball

The catcher hit .500 in six game last week for the Comets, which included nine singles, a double, home run and 12 RBIs. Bernard’s performance helped the Comets sweep Waverly and split with Holt in CAAC Blue action last week.

Brooke Fleming, DeWitt soccer

Fleming has contributed to an 8-0 start for the Panthers and scored in each of their CAAC Blue wins last week. Fleming had a goal in a 2-0 win over Okemos and followed by finding the back of the net in a 4-1 win over East Lansing.

Cami Tuller, Charlotte tennis

Tuller won each of her three matches at No. 1 singles in a quad as the Orioles picked up wins over Edwardsburg and Marshall. Tuller won her matches in straight sets over opponents from Jackson Northwest, Edwardsburg and Marshall. She also won a match in straight sets against Ionia during the week.
