Pellston airport closure extended until Friday due to flooding

The Pellston Regional Airport has extended its runway closures again as work continues to try and clear the airfield of significant flooding. 

According to a Monday, April 27 update, a third water pump has been added and the water line has gone down. Airport officials said they have extended the runway closures until Friday, May 1 and “will continue to evaluate and communicate with the airlines and the rest of our flying community daily in the meantime.”

Airport tenants, including Hoppies Landing Restaurant, Mackinaw Shuttle, Avis/Budget rental car and the Delta airlines counter, remain open for their normal business hours.
