The Pellston Regional Airport has extended its runway closures again as work continues to try and clear the airfield of significant flooding.
According to a Monday, April 27 update, a third water pump has been added and the water line has gone down. Airport officials said they have extended the runway closures until Friday, May 1 and “will continue to evaluate and communicate with the airlines and the rest of our flying community daily in the meantime.”
Airport tenants, including Hoppies Landing Restaurant, Mackinaw Shuttle, Avis/Budget rental car and the Delta airlines counter, remain open for their normal business hours.
