Lincoln Riley has a lot to say about Makai Lemon's versatility

There are many doubters of what Makai Lemon can be in the NFL, but the one guy who knows him best has a different view. Lincoln Riley believes he coached the best receiver in this NFL draft class. Lincoln Riley is an offensive guru, and his word should hold more value than any expert labeling Makai Lemon just as a slot receiver.

In a recent tweet from the interview of Lincoln Riley on the Jim Rome podcast, Lincoln Riley further drove home what type of receiver Makai Lemon is. Here is what he had to say:

“I think this guy is the most versatile receiver in the country.”

You cannot put a box or a ceiling on what type of receiver Makai Lemon can be. His size might lean towards a body frame of a slot receiver, but he plays way above his size. He can make 50/50 contested catches, he forces missed tackles at a high rate, and he can high-point the football. That is where the versatility comes from, and with his skill set, you can line him up anywhere.

Lincoln Riley sees it clear as day, and the same will be said when he lands with a Kellen Moore, Sean McVay, and even a Todd Monken. If an offensive guru, a type of coach, wants to take their offense to new heights, Makai Lemon should be their pick.
