Semi-truck rolls into storage building in Amarillo, no injuries reported

The Amarillo Fire Department reported that a semi-truck rolled into a storage building at the Toot ‘n Totum location on River Road around 6 p.m. Monday evening, April 20.

AFD said the driver was reportedly not in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and there were no injuries reported.

The department’s heavy rescue team was dispatched to the scene at 5254 River Road to assess the building, which was heavily damaged.

The truck was removed from the building, and the area was taped off to keep the public away from the scene.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Amarillo Police Department and the Amarillo Fire Department.
