Jif now has crunchy peanut butter and chocolate-flavored spread among its offerings.
“Use it as a dip for fruit, pretzels, crackers or cookies; mix it in oatmeal, yogurt or smoothies; use it as a frosting for your next batch of cupcakes or brownies; spread it on toast, rice cakes, muffins, croissants, pancakes, French toast or waffles; or simply savor a spoonful,” the product description said on Jif’s website.
The crunchy variant follows Jif’s 2024 launch of its peanut butter and chocolate-flavored spread.
The crunchy peanut butter and chocolate-flavored spread will come in 15-ounce plastic jars, Jif’s website said.
The description did not say if the spread is already in grocery stores or will be coming to them in the future, though a write-up on allrecipes.com said it will be in certain retail stores in May. J.M. Smucker Company, which Jif is part of, could not be reached for comment.
The spread’s ingredients, according to Jif’s website, are roasted peanuts, sugar, peanut oil, and cocoa processed with alkali. The spread contains 2% or less of fully hydrogenated vegetable oils (rapeseed and soybean), salt, mono and diglycerides, molasses, and vanillin.
