In the NFL draft, there could be a lot of movement via trades with many teams trying to find positional upgrades. There is no rumored trade bigger — at least not at the moment — than the potential A.J. Brown to New England Patriots trade. That trade is not expected to happen until June, but that could enable a Trojan receiver to land with the Eagles. In the latest five-round mock draft, NFL Network analyst Chad Reuter has USC receiver Makai Lemon heading to the Philadelphia Eagles. Here is what he had to say about Makai Lemon landing with the Eagles at pick 23.
“Regardless of whether or not A.J. Brown stays in Philadelphia, the Eagles must fortify their receiver room. Lemon fits nicely in the slot and can flip spots with DeVonta Smith to give defenses different looks.”

The Eagles made another move in their receiver room, as they traded for Dontayvion Wicks, who should slot in as a great number 2 should A.J. Brown get dealt. That is looking more and more like a realistic outcome come June 1st. Makai Lemon would be the perfect balance for this receiver room. He and Devonta Smith could end up being the alpha males in this receiver room. while Dontayvion Wicks is the imposing receiver on the outside.
Jalen Hurts seems to be on his last leg in Philadelphia. Getting him a weapon like Makai Lemon, along with Devonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks, could propel him to having a career year.
