Michigan State football spring game live updates: Start time, TV info

It’s time for the first look at the new era of Michigan State football.

Spartan fans will finally get a glimpse at what a Pat Fitzgerald MSU team will look like with the spring game at Spartan Stadium on Saturday, April 18.

Admission is free if you download a free digital ticket (click here) and gates for the game will open at 10:30 a.m.

As for who is suiting up for the Spartans, your guess is as good as ours. MSU largely turned over the roster in the transition from former coach Jonathan Smith to new coach Pat Fitzgerald, and teams in recent years have just used the spring game as essentially an extra practice.

However, the expectation this year is the Spartans will make this a game-like event.

Parking for the event is free and it will not be shown live on TV, but could be shown on tape delay later.
