Michigan football will be back on the field in front of fans for the team’s annual Maize vs. Blue spring game starting 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
A live broadcast of the game will air on the Big Ten Network. The game will also reair at 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 19 and 9 p.m. Monday, April 20.
The spring game is free and open to the public to attend in person with gates opening at 1 p.m.
It’ll be fans’ first chance to see Michigan football coach Kyle Whittingham at the helm of the Wolverines.
Whittingham warned on Thursday, April 9 that many players wouldn’t participate in the traditional event and to expect changes to the game’s system.
“We’re not going to put a guy in there that we know what he can do, and he’s where he needs to be, and he’s played hundreds of snaps here − there’s no reason for that,” Whittingham said.

Michigan football spring game parking options
If you get there early enough, you should be able to park for free.
In a release about the spring game, Michigan said “any available parking in the lots around Michigan Stadium, owned and operated by the University of Michigan, will be free and open to the public starting at 7 AM (and is expected to fill quickly).” The University also reminded fans there is no parking at the U-M and AAGO golf courses like there is for game days.
