In the midst of “a massive hiring push” of more than 400 positions nationwide, STARCOM will conduct a civilian-job career fair Tuesday, April 21, at The Tides Club at Patrick Space Force Base.
STARCOM — or Space Training and Readiness Command — was activated as the Space Force’s third field command in August 2021. The command is moving from Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Patrick SFB, where a $28 million headquarters annex building opened in March.

Civilians comprise about one-third of Space Force personnel, and STARCOM focuses on training, education, testing and wargaming activities. Job fair hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Tides Club is an oceanfront facility at 1001 N. State Road A1A.
Florida job opportunities for mid- to senior-level professionals span a range of functions, including:
Job applicants can view openings and application details at STARCOM’s careers page at https://www.starcom.spaceforce.mil/STARCOM-Careers/. For potential interviews, applicants can email resumes and job titles of interest to hq.starcom.s1jobs@spaceforce.mil ahead of the job fair.
“STARCOM exists to forge the world’s most combat-credible space force and that mission depends on the strength of our total workforce,” Maj. Gen. James Smith, who commands STARCOM, said in a press release.
“These new teammates will be vital to helping us expand the pipelines. We’re looking for talented civilians who are ready to join us in developing Guardians and validating systems that will secure our nation’s interests in, from and to space,” Smith said.
Positions are available at Patrick SFB, Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado, Vandenberg Space Force Base in California and Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, along with other geographically separated support units.
