The Varsity 845 boys baseball players of the week polls are online for March 30-April 5 and April 6-12. Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845 and nominations. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon.
One athlete per school is allowed per week. A poll winner will be ineligible for the next week.
Go to RecordOnline.com/sports/high-school and vote as often as you like until Sunday, April 19, at 11 p.m. The winners will be announced each week on the @Varsity845 account on X/Twitter.
The winners for March 23-29 were Tom Ranaudo of Warwick and Connor Elliot of Highland.

Varsity 845 boys baseball player of the week (April 6-12, large)

Liam Barry, Minisink Valley
He pitched four scoreless innings, fanning three, as the Warriors downed Pine Bush 6-4 on April 6. He had a double and two RBI in a 6-5 win over Kingston on April 8.
Evan Espinal, Monroe-Woodbury
He had a solo homer and single as the Crusaders downed Warwick 14-3 on April 8.
Avery Farrell, Goshen
He had two singles and four RBI in the Gladiators’ 10-9 loss to Newburgh on April 10.
Jayce Hayden, Wallkill
He had a double, single and three RBI as the Panthers bowed to Niskayuna 14-9 on April 11.
Wade Holsapple, Kingston
He had three hits and three RBI as the Tigers beat Warwick 8-5 on April 6.
Tyler Ingalls, Pine Bush
He had three hits as the Bushmen fell to Cornwall 11-6 on April 8. He added three hits and two RBI in an 11-5 win over Washingtonville on April 10.
Declan O’Donnell, Warwick
He had two hits in the Wildcats’ 10-4 loss to Beacon on April 10.
Rickey Pena, Washingtonville
He had two hits and an RBI as the Wizards fell to Pine Bush 11-5 on April 10.
Richie Roohan, Cornwall
He had a triple, three RBI and earned the mound win as the Dragons downed Pine Bush 11-6 on April 8.
Darren Russo, Valley Central
He got the win, fanning seven, as the Vikings beat Newburgh 8-1 on April 8.
James Tobin, Newburgh
He had four hits, two RBI and game-winning single as the Goldbacks nipped Goshen 10-9 in eight innings on April 10.

He had three hits and an RBI as the Bushmen downed New Paltz 11-1 on March 31.

He had two doubles and two RBI as the Crusaders downed Marlboro 13-4 on March 31.
Liam Keller, Newburgh
He had a hit, two RBI and struck out seven in a one-hit, four-inning effort for the Goldbacks in a 5-4 loss to Burke on April 2. He added two hits in a 2-0 loss to CBA-Syracuse on April 4.
Chris McCauley, Minisink Valley
He struck out eight for the Warriors in a 6-0 win over Burke on March 31.
Brennan Tesseyman, Washingtonville
He had a single, triple, RBI and fanned 10 for the win as the Wizards blanked Monticello 10-0 on March 31.

He had a triple, three RBI and fanned seven for the win as the Hambletonians downed Burke 9-5 on April 7.
Logan Howard, Highland
He won a five-inning no-hitter, fanning seven, as the Huskies downed Ellenville 11-0 on April 9.
Ethan Kurpich, Saugerties
He had a hit and two RBI in the Sawyers’ 8-4 loss to Pine Plains on April 6.
Cole Maiale, New Paltz
He won a one-hitter, fanning 13, as the Huguenots downed Poughkeepsie 20-0 on April 8.
Brendyn Quinn, Burke Catholic
He had a single, double and RBI as the Eagles bowed to Chester 9-5 on April 7. The next day he hit a three-run homer in an 11-1 win at Eldred.
Shea Olejniczak, S.S. Seward
He had a double and two RBI as the Spartans beat O’Neill 13-3 on April 8.
Tayler Schwartz, Liberty
He had a double, three singles, three RBI and fanned five for the win as the Redhawks downed Tri-Valley 12-2 on April 10.
Brayden Soma, Marlboro
He had two hits in the Dukes’ 5-4 loss to Chapel Field on April 7. He added a single and RBI in a 5-4 win over Roosevelt on April 10.
Joseph Valenti, Ellenville
He had a three-run homer, RBI singe and fanned nine for the win as the Blue Devils nipped Eldred 10-8 on April 10.
Easton Vellenga, Chapel Field
He tossed six innings of four-hit ball, fanning six, as the Lions nipped Marlboro 5-4 on April 7.
Evan Zgrodek, Eldred
He tossed six innings of four-hit ball, fanning 10, as the Yellowjackets downed Seward 5-2 on April 6. He added a homer, double, single and four RBI in a 10-8 loss to Ellenville on April 10.

He threw five innings of two-hit ball, fanning six, as the Huguenots downed Salem-Cambridge on April 4.
