The Green Bay Packers will host Central Michigan edge rusher Michael Heldman on a pre-draft visit, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Heldman, who produced 34.5 tackles for loss over 41 career starts, is currently ranked as the No. 270 overall player on the consensus big board. The Packers could see Heldman’s intriguing athletic traits and productive senior season and see a worthy option come the late rounds of the 2026 draft.
Heldman played 53 games over four seasons, producing 19.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. He had his best season in 2025, creating 16.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks during a first-team All-MAC season. Per PFF, Heldman created 53 total pressures, good for second in the MAC.
At almost 6-4 and 268 pounds, Heldman looks like a typical Packers edge rusher. He also has elite athleticism and a 9.90 Relative Athletic Score. He produced a 40″ vertical leap, 10-3 broad jump, 4.70-second 40-yard dash, 4.31-second short shuttle, 7.05-second 3-cone drill and 29 reps on the bench. Heldman checks all the boxes in terms of size and athleticism.
The Packers need to rebuild the depth at edge rusher after losing Rashan Gary and Kingsley Enagbare this offseason.
