The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is here and so is the traffic.
Back in Indio for its 25th iteration, and with set times for Weekend 1 now out, visitors and locals alike need to map out their days and how they’ll get around the desert.
Drivers, however, shouldn’t expect to be speed demons.
Although 40,000 festivalgoers will be shuttled in and out daily across the Coachella Valley, major road closures and congestion are still expected around the Empire Polo Club in Indio.
The impacts will be felt by both visitors and locals as Coachella runs from April 10 to 12 and April 17 to 19, bringing headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G on the Coachella stage. Those weeks will be followed by Stagecoach on April 24 to 26.

The following roads will serve as the main access routes for Coachella and Stagecoach and are expected to see the most traffic from April 10-13, April 17-20 and April 24-27, as festivalgoers arrive and depart:
