Two people died over the holiday weekend in what authorities ruled a murder-suicide in Gateway.
Lee County sheriff’s deputies about 6:20 p.m. April 3 responded to Ledgewood Circle.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the death investigation was later confirmed to be a murder-suicide. Their identities remained unknown by publication.
The sheriff’s office said it is so far the second murder-suicide they probed in their jurisdiction in 2026.
Less than a month earlier, on March 7, Lee County sheriff’s deputies to Brant Point Circle, in Fort Myers, where they found two seniors died.
