My order: I had the Capri Sandwich ($16), grilled chicken with mozzarella, pesto, tomato aioli and arugula on sourdough bread. It came with a small salad. Sometimes chicken can be flavorless, but the additions on this sandwich added a lot of flavor. My friend ordered the Five Grain Salad ($13), a blend of five grains with arugula, feta cheese, prosciutto crisps, pickled red onion, basil and a tomato balsamic dressing. The salad got a thumbs up.
Likes: This new restaurant is a cozy retreat in a historic building near the Lincoln Home for meals, snacks and drinks. Service was fast and the decor is warm and homey.
Dislikes: The seating area is quite small, but there is an upper floor. People with mobility issues may have trouble on the spiral staircase.
What would I order next time? Lincoln Logs ($14) are French toast sticks with Nutella, strawberry sauce and a side of bacon.
