Walmart has celebrated the completion of renovations at its 2071 N. Main St. storefront in Canton.
The 72,000 square-foot space underwent a “significant” transformation, according to a press release. Now, customers will find expanded pickup and delivery options, improved layouts, interactive displays and upgrades to the pharmacy and vision center.
The updates highlight “a continued investment in a modern, more convenient shopping experience for area residents,” the press release said.
Opened in 1991, the Canton storefront is one of 10 Walmart locations in Illinois slated for renovations in 2026. Work at the East Peoria Supercenter, situated at 401 River Road, is expected to begin in June before wrapping up in October.
The press release noted: “Over the past five years Walmart has invested $820 million across Illinois, reinforcing its long-term commitment to local communities.”
